PPF vs. ceramic coating: what's the difference?
Paint protection film is a physical urethane layer that absorbs rock chips and abrasion. Ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss and makes cleaning easier. PPF protects against impacts; coating protects against grime. Many owners combine them.
What PPF does
PPF such as ULTIMATE PLUS is a clear film with a self-healing topcoat. It takes the hit from gravel and debris so paint doesn't.
What ceramic coating does
FUSION PLUS coatings bond to paint or film, adding hydrophobic behavior so water and dirt release more easily.
Using both
A common setup is PPF on high-impact areas and coating over everything, including the film.
